Carbon Fiber Unwinding Machine

Carbon Fiber Unwinding Machine for PAN Precursor Production Line

The unwinding machine is the starting point of a carbon fiber production line, responsible for storing, managing, and steadily delivering the raw yarn. Its performance directly impacts product quality and production efficiency. Through high-precision tension control, low-friction design, and intelligent upgrades, this equipment is helping the carbon fiber industry move toward high performance and low cost.

    Working Principle

    Working Principle

    - Wire Loading and Clamping: The raw wire package is secured to the payout frame, and the raw wire head is guided to the subsequent process via a wire guide.

    - Tension Control:

A tension sensor measures the raw wire tension in real time and sends feedback to the PLC for comparison with the preset value.

If tension fluctuates, the PLC automatically controls the motor or tension adjustment mechanism to compensate, forming a closed-loop control system (e.g., if the tension is too high, the payout is accelerated; if it is too low, the payout is decelerated).

    - Synchronized Payout: When paying out multiple rolls of raw wire, the control system ensures consistent tension and speed across each roll, preventing uneven tension on the raw wire and causing breakage.

    - High-Precision Tension Control

Electronic Unwinding System: Utilizes a motor-driven or electronic tension meter, adjusting tension in real time based on feedback signals to ensure constant tension output.

Tension Compensation Device: Each spindle is equipped with an independent compensation mechanism to adapt to changes in winding diameter and reduce tension fluctuations.

    - Low Friction and Wear-Resistant Design

Key Component Treatment: The yarn guide rollers utilize a ceramic surface treatment, and the spindle shafts utilize ultra-low-friction bearings to reduce yarn wear.

Vertical Wire Feeding System: High-quality rollers are used at all contact points to prevent yarn damage.

    - Intelligence and Automation

Yarn Break Detection and Automatic Stop: An integrated angle sensor and rocker mechanism monitor tension changes in real time, automatically stopping the machine in the event of a yarn break.

Robot-Assisted Wire Feeding: For example, Seiko Technology equipment utilizes a robot for automated wire feeding, improving operational convenience.

Carbon fiber prepreg production lines, serving as the starting equipment, provide a stable supply of precursor yarn for prepreg, stretching, and winding processes.

Carbon fiber fabric and composite material production, providing continuous precursor yarn for looms, dryers, and other equipment to ensure fabric quality.
